CBAT at BFI London Film Festival - UK premiere of UTAMA
On Oct 8th, member's of CBAT proudly attended the UK premiere of the Bolivian film Utama, a Sundance festival winner. The film, by Bolivian film director Alejandro Loayza Grisi, was presented at ICA as part of the BFI London Film Festival 2022. It will be released in UK & Ireland cinemas on November 11th.
Contemporary Photo Exhibition at Fundación Patiño
On Oct 5th the contemporary photo exposition "NATURALEZA, SOCIEDAD Y CLIMA" opened at Espacio Fundación Patiño centre in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. Photographs exhibited were based on winning and outstanding images of our photo contest in the "open format" category.
CBAT would like to welcome Bolivian artist Santiago Contreras Soux on his arrival to the UK for his CBAT-sponsored residency at Gasworks in London. We wish Santiago a fruitful and productive artist residency in London!.

Douglas Rodrigo Rada, Kiosko’s curator, interviews Santiago Contreras (CBAT's 2022 grant winner) on his upcoming residence at Gasworks in London, UK to learn about Santiago’s practice, his process and to talk about his projects for Gasworks.
Awards Ceremony and Exhibition Opening
On 26th August, the winning photographers of the NATURALEZA, SOCIEDAD Y CLIMA photo contest received their prizes, and along with other contestants selected to present the best images of the photo competition, partook in the opening of the photography exhibition of the same name at ARTE EN LA PLAZA at Manzana 1's Art Space.

CBAT congratulates winners: Andrés Unterladstaetter (photo series); Marcelo Perez del Carpio (individual photo); Iván Cáceres (open format) as well as to Vladimir Fernandez (British Museum SDCELAR-Voces del Chaco) and Isabel Guarayo along with Alex Pancho Rojas (Sub22).
The contest fulfilled the objective of capturing photographs that tell stories and show both causes and consequences of environmental problems and what contributes to their mitigation. At the same time, CBAT hopes to elevate the talent of these Bolivian photographers to platforms in the UK and around the world. See more >
Sharon Perez Welcome @ Gasworks
Last Saturday CBAT in conjunction with Gasworks had the pleasure, to welcome Afro-Bolivian artist Sharon Perez with a traditional Bolivian ’salteñada’ at Gasworks with guests from the British and Bolivian community. Sharon gave a short talk about her roots, inspiration and personal perspective as an artist. She also gave an overview of her art residency work at the British Museum which is being sponsored by SDCELAR. Thank you Sharon, Gasworks, British museum and attendees for an enjoyable event!.

Photography Contest Open Call
“NATURE, SOCIETY AND CLIMATE”
Given the importance of making the issue of Climate Change visible through photographic art, a topic that is a priority on the global agenda, CBAT and Noel Kempff Mercado Foundation, in alliance with Manzana 1 Espacio de Arte are launching this photography contest at a national level that aims to capture photos that communicate, tell stories, showing both the causes and consequences of this problem and what contributes to climate mitigation.

CBAT, in collaboration with Kiosko Galeria, invites artists to participate in the talk given by the artist Andrés Bedoya (winner of the residency in Gasworks 2019) in which Andrés will provide hints and tips to help applicants prepare an effective digital portfolio.

Cultural Event at Auto Italia - Nov 27th, 2021
On November 27th, CBAT was pleased to invite the Bolivian and foreign community to the Auto Italia Gallery with the objective of sharing, supporting and promoting the talent of the artists Chuquimamani Condori and Joshua Chuquimia in their short film Amaru's Tongue: Daugther.
